Alrighty, we are going to have a logo competition which will end at 7/7/2012 @12:00AM GMT+10. Post images of Xiaopan logos and members can decide by placing a like next to the one they like the most. Entry with the most likes wins and will get upgraded to VIP Status and will feature in the next Xiaopan Release. Rules & Information for Contestants • You can't like your own entry • Enter as many designs / variations as you like • Provide a written rationale (100 - 200 words) for your design. E.g. why you have designed it the way it is • Variations if they are minimal variations that are liked (e.g. different colour schemes) will be tallied up with those that are similar • Votes will be checked via IP address for cheaters with more than one account Failure to follow the rules will result in disqualification Rules & Information for Voters • You can only like once • You can change the one you like as many times as you like • Members can help contestants refine the images and offer suggestions via personal messages only • Votes will be checked via IP address for cheaters with more than one account Considerations A few things to consider in the design process. Xiaopan in Chinese means little foot and it is based on Tiny Core Linux. But do not let those limit your creativeness or design/s. Idea It is also a good idea to watermark / copyright your images. hazz death 's Logo Design 01 Rationale 1st, i want to tell u, i love to create a logo that complicated lil bit, yet it has it own meaning... the logo is in the center, it using the wifi icon, letter x and letter p, represent xiaopan are simple and easy os to penetrate wifi... i didnt use the foot icon because i didnt want this logo look similar with gnome 3, so i use the letter x and p (which is already used on the xiaopan os before) keep it as this site own identitiy.. the range color i use black and white, to maintain and match up to this site color... hope u like it
...and here goes my Logo Design 03 I am using the same concept "the wifi and antenna" as main focus. I have changed the overall coloring. added "digital background" to give a more digital & internet feel...
...and another Logo Design 04 This logo I use a "opened lock" to represent the alphabet "O" as well as to represent Xiaopan is a great tiny hack tool capable of unlocking wifi.
