Internal cards do not work with virtualisation. With Macs you cannot use Live CD or DVD or USB. Read here: https://xiaopan.co/forums/index.php?threads/xiaopan-not-working-need-help-readme.55/
With mac's i've used rEFIt http://refit.sourceforge.net to install linux on mac but it can run from a live cd or pendrive,i've had it running suse and backtrack so don't see why it shouldn't run xiaopan. But xiaopan isn't the best for internal cards so maybe a external card and virtualisation is the way to go.
I tried rEFIt with a April 2010 Macbook Pro with Reaver Pro. Did not work for me but I have heard better news for older Macs.
