Hey all, I have created a SliTaz Distribution, with a Xiaopan theme which includes software for Security auditing. Hi Aby$m ,I have burned a cD and tried to boot my PC from CD ,but finely got an error : (yad:1730)gtk-warning ** :cannot open display : :0.0. I decided to run in Virtual Box (my PC is Ubuntu 10.10) ,so it works and looks great ,but I wasn't able to put wifi card in a monitor mode. Any suggestions ? Thanks
nafo Concerning: ":cannot open display :" The reason this is occurring, is because I chose to keep the VGA settings which worked within a VM environment, instead of deleting the configuration from the OS. In the next release I'll make sure to delete the saved VGA configuration. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Concerning: "I wasn't able to put wifi card in a monitor mode" Which WiFi adapter are you using? Hi mr i have the same prob it runs fine when i open the iso on vmware but he doesn't detect my tp-link ( xiaopan os 4.3 does) where i do update the wireless cards btw?? i think is only that anyway you made a great job! respect
deka303 If you would like to update the wireless drivers I recommend going here: http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download/stable/ Although, I'm not sure that even if you update the drivers for the TP-Link WiFi adapter, that it will function well with Reaver-wps (feedingbottle). It might be best to check the Reaver-wps support page for WiFi adapter compatibility. Aby$m.
hi! and thanks for the fast reply i did read comments on that page and i found this : "TP-LINK WN-722N with ATHEROS AR9271 CHIP tested & working fine " so it should work now i will try to update it even if i don't know how to put downloaded files in vmware ( no idea why but it doesn't share folders between mac and linux but with windows bootcamp i have no probe) but what's weird when i use xiaopan 4.3 it recognize the card...is just with slitaz version (that i like alot since has folders on desktop and is easier for me to navigate thru). I will try and find solution soon now is raining i have to climb down the roof i let you know when i can come on internet again!!! ciaoo

hi btw i couldn't update the drivers...really i have tried but nothing at all. is a pity because this version loads much faster and really i wished to try any tool nevermind i am waiting update then. support!!
