@gearjunkie thinking about creating a small app where you can run a query to check to see if a default password is in your list or not. If it is, it will let the user know, if not, will submit to the database.

    What do you think?

Not sure how I will do this lol

    Microsoft Azure or Amazon perhaps

Awesome, thank you for taking over on this list. I have not had a lot of time lately, new job and moving to a new house. You are doing fantastic work. I made a custom rule for EWSA so you can run the combo adjective noun list and it adds from 0 to 999 at the end of each word for the hybrid attack and takes a lot less space for the dictionary.

Yes, I think it is good idea if we can write an app to check for the default passwords. I assume you mean just checking the words and see if its in the word list but not actually cracking the handshake captures. Does you hosting provider offer a way to run custom apps?

@gearjunkie @Demosthenes What are your machine setups ie. GPU, motherboard, RAM, etc? Do you have an estimate as to what it would cost and how many keys it and run per second? Thanks!

Mine is just a first gen i3 processor with 8GB ram and a Nvidia 560 GTX, nothing special. I run around 19K keys per sec with EWSA.

Nothing special about mine either; just a 3rd generation i5 with 16GB RAM on an Asus P8Z77 motherboard with a Radeon HD 7850. I get over 50K keys/sec.

I have tried looking through ebay images before but all I found were existing passwords. Maybe I am not doing it the right or not often enough.

@gearjunkie @Demosthenes I have an old old old Dell Dimension E510... I think it has an old ATI Radeon X300 or something... not sure if you know anything about it but would it be worth the upgrade to put something new in there? Something that will get me more than 3k keys/sec on my MacBook? I'd be more than willing to help out if I can upgrade it. Thanks again.

Try googling "GPU WPA cracking" "Elcomsoft" "Hashcat" "CPU WPA cracking". You will find that GPUs offer much better performance because they have many more cores available and they are better at completing the same task over and over vs CPUs which are better at completing different tasks. Google will give you a lot more information. The guys on here use GPUs which is why they can crack so fast.
