I am just using a couple of GeForce GTX 970 4GB graphics cards and hashcat. I can get about 180 kH/s from each graphics card.

There are several malformed packets in your file. I am willing to try a crack at your capture file again if you could upload a more complete capture file with more valid handshakes.

I ran all my dictionary attacks against your .cap file and could not crack it. The default password might have been changed.

Do you run two separate sessions or does it use both for one session? I am still new around here.

 

hashcat uses both of my graphics cards at the same time in one session.

Sorry, I was unable to find the password after running it through all of my dictionary attacks. It could be that the user may have changed the default password or it may be a new adjective or noun that is not in my lists for the NETGEARXX. I will set your .cap file aside for now and if I find any new adjectives or nouns I will run it again.

 

That is actually good news, I am still learning and I am happy to hear that I exhausted using what i have. So far I am 1 for 2, but the important part is that I am learning more and more. Have a great day.
