Regulareverydaynormalguy, Very nice rig, that will do just fine...another member of community ( mitchellgilmore23) also has mining rig he picked up with several gpu's in it, if you see him posting, maybe he could see if your setup is usable for cracking...cheers carnivore1 --- Double Post Merged, 18 Jan 2019, Original Post Date: 18 Jan 2019 --- m.montuano, ..swiftguppy991 is passphrase. cheers carnivore1 --- Double Post Merged, 18 Jan 2019 --- sam smith...0b219d0c4a62f30d3761b4511a793740:a039ee53876e:4c66418195d5:MySpectrumWiFi68-2G:bravenest019 cheers mate...carnivore1
Dude, Your the man. And the fact that you help without ridiculing new members for lack of knowledge or slow rigs really shows your character. Cheers, Stay classy bro. Also, thanks for the info about about the member with repurposed mining rigs, Good looking out man.
I'm so glad I found this forums Instead of posting my cap I would like to try and crack my cap file myself with your list. I have a question though. Prerequisite: I have the target cap file ready and your wordlist downloaded. I notice there are multiple lists in the download section. im going to download adjective_noun_3d.txt combinations of the adjectives + nouns + 3 digits (try this first). Now, in kali command I have a question what command to run, since im downloading the list with the numbers at the end do I still want to do the ?d?d?d command? EG: -a 6 -m 2500 -w 4 file.hccapx adjective_noun_3d.txt ?d?d?d or, do I just do it like this? -a 6 -m 2500 -w 4 file.hccapx adjective_noun_3d.txt and final question, I notice through this long thread some people were using -w 4 and some were using -w 3. What is the correct one to use?
-a 6 -m 2500 -w 4 file.hccapx adjective_noun_3d.txt ?d?d?d is the correct set of commands for wordlist + mask....-w 4 is highest level of optimization , it usually uses 100% of gpu ability...believe -w 3 uses about 90%....here is the info on using -w 4 command from hashcat ..- 4 | Nightmare | 480 ms | Insane | Headless. .cheers carnivore1
I'm using a laptop that is around 8 years old. some internals have been upgraded, but the GPU is still the same. So it sounds like my GPU won't be that good for this task right? In my case, should I use -w 3? Something that focuses more of CPU? Because the CPU has been upgraded its decent. Also, im still a noob to all of this. What do you mean by? - 4 | Nightmare | 480 ms | Insane | Headless.
Running command: -a 6 -m 2500 -w 4 file.hccapx adjective_noun_3d.txt ?d?d?d Will this result in the full password captured? jollyfish054 for example. Or does it just get the the adj + noun and i have to crack the 3 numbers a different way?
I need help with this cap file. I can't seem to crack it. I'm really new so if you could tell me how you cracked it that would be great
I can't seem to crack this with my watercooled 1080ti ftw3, I'm not too sure how to crack it since I've tried a good 10 - 11 wordlists any advice?
Line 44718 in the adj large dictionary file, already there Edit: I just ran the combinator on both "large" files and my output is 17.7GB... Will only take 28 days for my GTX 1080 to run through it... lol
Which is the best and most updated NetgearXX wordlist for default passwords? Could anyone link to it? Cheers.
Thanks. One more question... Can you use multiple wordlists at the same time with for ex. aircrack-ng in Kali? Or do you have to combine the adjectives, nouns .txt files etc into one list for all possible combinations ?? If so how is that done the fastest way?
Use the netgear.txt and run hashcat like this hashcat64.exe -m 2500 -a 6 .hccapx netgear.txt ?d?d?d and for multiple wordlist vs a hccapx is like this hashcat64.exe -m 2500 .hccapx FolderWithWordlist
Thanks. Can you use 3 separate lists with Aircrack? Something like this? aircrack-ng -b [bssid of router] -w Desktop/adjective.txt, noun.txt, 3digit.txt Desktop/wpa-01.cap Will it run all 3 lists and be able to crack the whole wpa password if it's default?
