holy hell....awesome....worked on that for a bit...want to talk more to you about your Askey wordlist...thanks
Absolutely! Let me tell you how I got to where it is so far. I, like you guys have seeing these MySpectrumWifiXX networks that are made by askey routers and noticed the netgear list flat out doesn't work. I looked up the manual and saw that the example in the pics uses the password "reasonanchor876". (https://d15yx0mnc9teae.cloudfront.net/sites/default/files/RAC2V1K Askey Wave 2.pdf) So then I realized they're not using adjectives. So I google around for wordlists that contained the words "reason" & "anchor". I stumbled upon a wordlist called "cold code list", as a pdf (https://static1.squarespace.com/sta...b3db17ef/1519907112685/Cold+Code+Wordlist.pdf) I tried running that list against some of the handshakes I had and ended up cracking one with the password rejectpride226. Then I built on that list by looking online for more passwords I could find. There wasn't much, but with enough searching I found a few. I actually found a few of people posting on funny sites their password, because they have funny word combos like periodmenu892, emigrantwall837, and a person whose username was jewelrunner posted a pic of their spectrum password being jewelrunner649. That was just luck on google image seach. Now I'm experimenting by adding SAT words, because of words like "emigrant" and "prose" which I found on ebay. I'm also seeing words like "west", so I added words like "north", "south" and "east". I saw guitar, so I added every musical instrument, etc. Ideally I would wanna just run these against a wordlist that has every english word but that would take a loooooooong time to run. Say you have a list of 10,000 words, that becomes 100,000,000 combos and don't forget the 3 digits on the end so it multiplies by 1000 again, that's 100,000,000,000 combos. My desktop GPU can process 70,000 H/s, sometimes I use my friend's PC because he has a better card that can do about 210,000H/s. So we either need a better list or a crazy rig lol
thanks for reply...we are in process of building noun-noun list right now...is becoming very large though...p.m.'ed you again.. --- Double Post Merged, 26 Apr 2020, Original Post Date: 26 Apr 2020 --- Hey...ran through 50mb noun noun 3?d ..that put together..nothing so far...aaarrrgggghhh
Just wanted to post an update on our work, we cracked a few more and got the passwords timbereagle210 and versefluent352 from carnivore1's captures. Please send more handshakes and know passwords! I feel a complete, concise list on the horizon. We got this! --- Double Post Merged, 27 Apr 2020, Original Post Date: 27 Apr 2020 --- Here's my plan going forward for askeys.... Basically, running a list of word combos that's bigger than a few hundred mbs will take too long to run for most people unless they have a crazy powerful rig.. We have, so far about 80-something known words, and we see that they repeat a lot. So we can take a huge wordlist and combine it with this small known list. That keeps the size down, and when we discover new words we add them to the short list and our odds get better every time we crack one. --- Double Post Merged, 27 Apr 2020 --- Also, I forgot to mention...the char range on the combined word list should be 7-14. I have seen hundreds of spectrum/netgear/askey passwords and they all fall within that char range (not counting the 3 digits)
I'm running it now on my work pc on my way out. I'll report back tomorrow with a result --- Double Post Merged, 5 May 2020, Original Post Date: 5 May 2020 --- Sorry, I had no luck using my adj+noun lists, even the bigger ones. I have a feeling the user may have changed the password. Or maybe there's a new sagemcom router type that uses a different password formula? --- Double Post Merged, 6 May 2020 --- I found on another website the password walnutglobal642 for askeys. We should add walnut and global to our lists! --- Double Post Merged, 6 May 2020 --- Oh, also just found zebraimmune320...We already had zebra but we can add immune to our lists --- Double Post Merged, 6 May 2020 --- Just cracked another one, thanks to knowing the word global. It's globalpatron264. Let's add patron to our lists lol
Help! MySpectrumWiFi98-2G. I don't really have that much info about the router. All I know is the maximum speed is 216mbps and it's 802.11g/n. I hope someone can help. Thanks
