You'll get no arguments from me on that, for sure. So much faster than the way we used to have to do it. Just getting back into it. My current thrown together in a hurry-rig is giving me an average time to crack the netgear and spectrum networks, using hashcat and the netgear-spectrum wordlist, right at 4 hours on the dot. Sadly, I'm OK with that as I remember the old days of waiting weeks on end and have even waited longer. Once i finish unpacking my new apartment and remember what all was packed in what box, I'll build up something a little faster. Can anyone help me with this cap file please? I used couple wordlists posted in the previous 2 pages along with instructions from @petrovivo1234 (thanks for sharing!), but gave up after running non-stop for 29 hours on my Radeon 5700XT. I'll start another run this weekend, would really appreciate if anyone can get to it quicker. Thanks!
Can anyone spare a few cycles with this one? I've tried with netgear-spectrum7mb.txt and had no luck with command: hashcat -m 2500 -a 6 out.hccapx netgear-spectrum7mb.txt ?d?d?d -w 3
Thank you petrovio1234 and lml-76. I don’t know why my lists did not work. Maybe I am missing a few adjectives or nouns. It seems like myspectrumwifi is falling out of favor in may area to Spectrumsetup. Good to know they are still relatively easy to crack. I appreciate the work both of you put into helping me!
