    Been trying to crack this one for a while, tried all the wordlists I could find and none of them hit so far. I plan to hail mary it by generating a giant wordlist from dictionary words once I have some free time so I figured I would drop this here too since other people seem to be posting their captures as well.

    Thought this might be of interest. Consider your Foxtel hubs to the list which includes Netgear, Orbi and Charter.

    Also the three digit number after the adjective - noun. Has anyone ever suspected the three digit number is being generated by the mac or serial, or some other way? Seems to be a pattern. Maybe reverse or division.

    Anyway pictures posted for interest.

    Regards,

    Garry.

    Thanks! I tired the specturm_charter word list. Might have configured it correctly. Also using an i3 to look for them takes, well, days. :(

    Hi, everyone, I'm a noob and I'm trying to learn as much as I can but until now I had not much luck with my cracking... dunno what I'm doing wrong. I'm using hashcat, setting wordlists, rules etc, but I can't do anything.
    I have this hash I want to crack. Can somebody help me?
    Thank you in advance!

    just trying to understand:
    I have the hash converted in a 22000 compatible format and i'm using hashcat with a 22000 algorithm

    I have two wordlists:
    adjectives.txt
    * Passwords.: 28479
    * Bytes.....: 315274
    * Keyspace..: 28479

    nouns.txt
    * Passwords.: 90963
    * Bytes.....: 962703
    * Keyspace..: 90963

    I checked that the words are in fact included in the wordlists
    I'm using hashcat with a GUI so i'm not putting the whole command line

    I choose a combinator attack with adjectives on the left, nouns on the right, and on the right rules I put $?d$?d$?d to have three random numbers at the end.

    With my laptop I can do around 260-300 kH/s (RTX 2070S + the integrated intel gpu)

    Hashcat says that there are 2,590,535,277 combinations and it should take around 3 hours to get through all of them

    Does this checks out to you? should I get a result with these settings and that hash file?
    I'm not an expert in programming, and software, and that's why I'm using the GUI on Windows. I'm just interested in learning about math and cryptography.

    I'm a noob also but here's what i did to crack your cap in less than 4 minutes running @ 934 kH/s.
    I converted your cap to .hc22000 with hashcat's online converter
    i used netgear-spectrum.txt from PSKracker on gibhub.
    hashcat.exe -m 22000 hash.hc22000 -a6 netgear-spectrum.txt ?d?d?d

    thank you so much I was searching trough this thread, trying to find an actual wordlist and finally I have the answer!
    Between adding a rule with random numbers like you suggest, and a combinator dictionary, having a list of all the 999 numbers as the right dictionary, which one should be more efficient?
    The reason my system wasn't working, I discovered was because hashcat, or at least mine with the added GUI, cannot add rules on top of a combinator attack, so I tried everything but really couldn't do it. I was then trying to make my own single combined dictionary using the google docs one found in this thread, but then you saved me from the annoyance.
    Thank you!
