I'll say it again for all these Chinese RTL8187L knockoffs... The difference isn't the chipset, while the chip may indeed be a genuine 8187L that's only telling one part of the story with all these chicken brands. It's the sub-standard power amplifer used inside they foist onto people time and again for: a) Those that don't know any better and don't care what's inside. b) Think their getting something "improved" they most certainly won't over the price premium for a real 036H. Stay away from Lin-Fox and WifiSky brands as the PA inside is utter crap. If you want to still go cheap and find the 036H still too much money, go with a Kasens G9000, as at least from my testing unlike the others the output can be tweaked up more comparable to ALFA 036H's levels by setting a value of FF in the EEPROM for TX powers using the Realtek Mass Production Kit I uploaded earlier. How long that lasts set at FF however, I've still yet to find out. On the Linfox or Wifisky, doing that would either have no effect, or would blow the installed underperforming PA which can only be rectified in it's junky performance by de-soldering the PA chip out for a better one, and adjusting the power up with MPK accordingly.
