Great I really appreciate it. I noticed MyCharter is now using Myspectrum as essid. anyone know if its still the same netgear and wordlist? Ive been using the charter wordlist you provided what is another good wordlist to use for general usage.
I have not seen any captures of MySpectrum yet. It would be nice if someone would post a couple of captures or better yet provide pictures of the SSID/WPA-Key stickers on the wireless router.

Seems that there is either a new noun/adjective, Sagemcom is following Netgear's default password scheme, or Charter is generating their own list. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sagemcom-Fa...084079?hash=item236d635e2f:g:bOMAAOSwOVpXfvSk smileywhale320 is the password on this model, and no it is not Netgear. And here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SAGEMCOM-FA...513199?hash=item3d1f9ee96f:g:Mt4AAOSwMNxXatnk largegate322 also not Netgear, but Sagemcom. And from the user manual: http://d15yx0mnc9teae.cloudfront.ne...sup_SagemcomFast5260_UserGuide-1441041108.pdf mellowsquirrel011 Or Charter somehow managed to cross their firmware onto the Sagemcom ones? Not really sure. The animals kinda make me think they are from Netgear.
That is correct. The 8.02MB file is only the adjective+nouns+digits. I kept them separately because not everyone needs the complete file. On the issue of corrupted raw file, try disabling Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) and/or your antivirus before downloading it. I have noticed MSE falsely detecting the 7z file as a virus even though it is just a bunch of archived text files. --- Double Post Merged, 18 Jul 2016, Original Post Date: 18 Jul 2016 --- That is an interesting discovery. I will keep it in mind when testing Sagemcom captures.
n00b here. After many failed attempts of using reaver brute force and pixie dust, I tried the netgearxx wordlist and so far it has cracked 3/4 AP´s. Very impressive and my first success at cracking wpa2 This handshake is not cracked by the wordlist(or rockyou.txt). If someone would be interested in the handshake, here it is.
This is not a NETGEARXX capture. It factory default password does not follow the adjective-noun format.
I found a MySpectrumWiFiXX-XG recently and it follows the same default password format of the NETGEARXX.
so in other words don't use MyCharter but instead use NETGEARXX?.. This may throw people off because they may assume MySpectrumWiFiXX-XG is the same as MyCharterWiFiXX-XG because its a Chartr router
Yes, do not use the old MyCharter list. I have found that both MyCharter and MySpectrum follow the same password format as the NETGEARXX. The latest list here does not include a MyCharter list anymore.
I'm confused.. I thought MyCharter had uppercase first letter and NETGEARXX has lower.. Is MySpectrum first letter upper or lower case? Would you mind running my .cap to test it?. I have a really slow computer that takes forever and nobody has came up with a app for Android to crack passwords via wordlists and cap yet.
